Rompas-Rajapalot gold mine

Project Description

The Mawson Resources Rompas-Rajapalot project is a new discovery in Northern Finland where high-grade gold and cobalt have been found within an area approaching 10 km by 10 km. The nature of the terrain and all-weather access allows year-round exploration work across more than 70% of the area. Winter access is possible in the remaining area when ice and snow conditions permit, usually after mid-December each year. Rajapalot is part of a biodiversity program that limits drilling to the winter, unless it’s hand portable. Mawson Resources launched a diamond drilling program at its Rompas-Rajapalot gold-cobalt project in Finland in 2018. The Q4 diamond drilling program at the Rompas-Rajapalot gold-cobalt project will consist of drilling of up to 2,500m to evaluate the Korkiakoivikko and Hirvimaa prospects.
