Abraham Accords Initiative

In September 2020, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain agreed to normalize relations with Israel, later joined by Morocco and Sudan. Since the signing of the Abraham Accords, the signatory countries have moved forward with efforts to deepen economic relations, exchanging business delegations and formalizing economic agreements.

The Wilson Center’s Abraham Accords Initiative hones in on the challenges and opportunities of cooperation between the Arab countries and Israel. The Initiative convenes officials from the signatory countries and US government, regional and issue experts, and voices from the private sector to better understand the geopolitical and socioeconomic implications for the region and beyond.
