Search and Rescue in the Land of the Midnight Sun

“The Arctic is an area where you survive with cooperation.” Ásgrímur Ásgrímsson, who spoke to us on the sidelines of the Wilson Center-Arctic Circle Forum, explained the important role that the Icelandic Coast Guard plays alongside its northern neighbors in ensuring safety and providing search and rescue services in the Arctic Sea.
